We have just completed some minor updates for our eCart & SiteBuilder system by adding a few new features for our clients.  Here’s what we’ve done so far….

A new ‘Quick Links’ menu has been added to the top.  These links should provide a quick way to find help for your account and sitebuilder setup.  We’ve also provided a link to an image optimizer/resizer for your use before uploading photos to your site.

We’ve also added a feed from our ‘Announcements’ page so you can easily see what our latest news is right from your store admin.

And finally, we’ve enhanced our feature which allows you to show products on your Home page or Catalog page  You can now select to show your products at random in addition to selecting to show ‘New’, ‘Featured’, ‘Sale’, etc.

Now added to our list of available FREE website templates that come with your eCart & SiteBuilder are what we call DIY templates.  You can now find 6 new layouts to use with your own graphics.

These template layouts are great for if you are switching from another DIY ecart host and you need a basic layout to start with, or, if you have a graphics package in mind that you want to use for your website but you need a template layout for it.

Your graphics just need to be named according to our guidelines and uploaded.  Then, just switch to one of the DIY Template layouts and voila!  Your web design is done in an instant, making your website pretty as a picture!

You can find instructions on using these templates at the helpdesk, or you can always ask for help by submitting a ticket or asking a question in the forum.

We now have a secure client area meaning that your personal information will be held securely behind 128 bit encryption.  Just click on the ‘client area’ link and you’ll notice that the link url changes so that it starts with https rather than just http.

What this also means is that now besides using Paypal for payments, we can now accept major credit or debits cards.

We hope that this will give you some peace of mind when using our site.

Little Fish Hosting is now accepting applications for designers that work with our ecart system.  Designers can offer web graphic packages only, or graphics plus template packages.

For graphics-only packages, we just ask that you will provide our customers with images that are named according to our graphics guidelines so that they will slot into place when used with our own templates.

For best practice, templates should have both the .htm and .php files uploaded into the clients template folder, and should have all the necessary tags.  Please review our Designer section in our Knowledgebase for help on doing this.  If this isn’t something have you done before, it is much easier than you might think.  Alternatively, you can also just use the appropriate codes and upload the template in the store admin area.

Successful applicants will have their site logo added to our Approved Designers page.  You will also be added to our Client Resource directory.  Designers that choose to host with Little Fish may also receive a free store for demo or template development only.
